Exploring the Beautiful Attributes of God

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” - Genesis 1:26

In a world where theological understanding often feels like traversing uncharted territory, delving into the depths of the Trinity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—can be both daunting and exhilarating.

God is Omnipotent - He is All Powerful

Psalm 115:3 reveals to us that God, whose power knows no bounds, “Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.” The God that we serve is all-powerful. That includes The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Nobody nor can anything stop Him from doing whatever He desires to do. We pray to God because we know He is all-powerful and that he can do all things, Ephesians 3:20-21. When we pray, we give the all-powerful God of creation space to do for us what He knows is best. How does God know what is best for us? Because…

God is Omniscient - He Knows Everything

God knows all things! Especially what is best for us. Knowing that God knows everything should change not only the way we pray but also the way we go about living our lives. We should challenge ourselves to be honest and transparent because we know that God sees and understands all that we go through. He knows everything that we’ve done, and He’s seen us at our absolute worst. God knows our hearts, Psalm 44:21.

God is Omnipresent - He is Everywhere

How does God know all things? Because He sees all things. If God can see all things, then that means He is Everywhere. Psalm 139:7-8 says, “Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to Heaven you are there; even if I make my bed in Hell you are there.” [Emphasis Ours] No corner of existence escapes His divine presence. The wrath of God is fully displayed in Hell. The goodness, grace, generosity, and justice of God are fully displayed in heaven. Even on all of Earth God’s power is displayed as well. God's omnipresence envelops all creation. There's nowhere we can go to escape the Lord because why He's, The Father, The Son, & The Holy Spirit, are everywhere all the time. He sees all that we are doing good and bad because nothing can hide or be lost from God.

YET, He’s Still Willing to be in a Relationship with You.

In every facet of life, we should humbly acknowledge His power and be reassured by His unwavering companionship. Because The Trinity has an intimate understanding of our deepest flaws. Flaws that show the necessity for heartfelt, transparent communion with Him. The Trinity has a timeless existence that transcends the boundaries of our small comprehension. As Psalm 90:2 proclaims, God is eternal, preceding the very foundations of the earth we call home.

While the concept of the Trinity may elude full comprehension, our faith journey invites us to dwell in the awe and wonder of God's divine nature. As we navigate the complexities of theology, our ultimate aim remains clear: to worship God truthfully, to seek Him diligently, and to live out our faith with unwavering devotion.

Embracing the Mystery and Living in Faith

In our pursuit of understanding, may our hearts be humbled, our minds enlightened, and our spirits emboldened to embrace the mysteries of the one and true living God, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Our reason for better understanding of God lies in the essence of true worship—our deepest desire to know God and to be known by Him.
